Responsibilities
- Patient Care
- Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, including obstetric and gynecological issues.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, taking into account the unique needs of each patient.
- Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories, including obstetric and gynecological assessments.
- Communication
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, providing clear and concise medical information.
- Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including obstetric and gynecological information.
- Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with coding and billing regulations.
- Diagnostic Procedures
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging, to inform treatment decisions.
- Perform procedures as needed, including obstetric and gynecological procedures.
- Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation and treatment.
- Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions to share knowledge and best practices.
- Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers, including obstetric and gynecological consultations.
- Quality Improvement
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives, including obstetric and gynecological quality improvement projects.
- Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement, identifying areas for quality improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and safety.
- Compliance
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice, including compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
- Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring that practices are up-to-date and compliant.
- Continuous Learning
- Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices in obstetrics and gynecology, including new technologies and treatments.
- Participate in ongoing medical education and training, including obstetric and gynecological education and training.
- Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines, ensuring that practices are evidence-based and effective.
Qualifications
- American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine with Obstetrics.
- A valid and unrestricted state medical license or license-eligible.
Pay Range
$126.47 - $140.89 /hour
