Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT exams with precision and accuracy, adhering to established guidelines and protocols.
  • Administer contrast agents and utilize power injectors with confidence and skill.
  • Document patient information and exam results accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in maintaining a clean and organized radiologic science program.

Regulatory Compliance
  • Maintain compliance with relevant standards, recommendations, and requirements of voluntary and government agencies.
  • Understand and adhere to all safety practices to minimize risk of injury and/or exposure to unnecessary ionizing radiation.
  • Wear an issued radiation badge for monitoring occupational exposure to ionizing radiation.

Departmental Support
  • Promote the development, preparation, implementation, and attainment of departmental goals, policies, and projects.
  • Maintain an adequate level of productivity and prioritize work accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with department managers and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely information.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology and ARRT certified.
  • Valid driver's license and current permit issued by the Iowa Department of Public Health.
  • ARRT certification as a Radiographer and preferred ARRT certification in CT or become CT certified within 2 years of hire.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with all customers and coworkers.
