Job Summary

The U.S. Marine Corps is seeking a Recreation Assistant to support the Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) team. As a Recreation Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with programs and activities sponsored by the Semper Fit Athletic Section, including intramurals, All-Marine programs, and special events. You will also be responsible for ensuring worksite materials and tools are available, verifying authorized personnel, and maintaining a professional customer service appearance. Additionally, you will be responsible for operating the front desk, handling cash, and maintaining security of funds and equipment.

Responsibilities

- Assist with programs and activities sponsored by the Semper Fit Athletic Section
- Ensure worksite materials and tools are available
- Verify authorized personnel
- Maintain a professional customer service appearance
- Operate the front desk and handle cash
- Maintain security of funds and equipment

Requirements

- One year experience in athletic/recreational activities or a related field
- Customer service experience
- Ability to read and interpret guidelines pertaining to facility operation
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing using tact and courtesy
- Basic computer skills
- CPR and First Aid certification required or the ability to obtain within one month from the date of hire
