As a Patient Transport Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently transport patients throughout the facility.

You will ensure the highest standards of quality performance and patient care for individuals across all age groups, including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, tailored to their specific needs and limitations.

Key Responsibilities


In this role, you will:

  • Transport patients using ambulation, wheelchair, or stretcher as required based on their condition.
  • Safely manage IV tubing and/or Foley catheters during transport.
  • Conduct an inventory of all transportation equipment at the end of each shift.
  • Guide and assist patients with proper attire for radiographic procedures.
  • Handle patient support devices such as IVAC pumps and oxygen, ensuring their integrity during transport.
  • Collaborate effectively with the transport team to meet operational needs.
Qualifications


To be considered for this position, you should possess:

  • A minimum of one year of prior patient care experience is preferred.
  • Experience as a Patient Transport Specialist is advantageous.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
