The Electrical General Foreman is a key member of our team at Primoris Services Corporation, responsible for overseeing the electrical operations on our projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct electrical foremen and craft labor to ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to company policies and regulations.
  • Schedule equipment, materials, and tools to maximize production and minimize costs.
  • Manage and implement standardized work instructions, and assist in process improvement efforts.
  • Act as a technical consultant to field personnel on electrical circuits, power quality, and other related topics.
  • Ensure safe working conditions and safety procedures on the project, and enforce company, jobsite-specific, federal, and state safety regulations.
  • Communicate with the Trade Superintendent to update on project problem areas and status.
  • Collaborate with the Trade Superintendent to plan and staff trade employees, and utilize company resources, processes, and policies.
  • Conduct oneself with a professional and respectful demeanor while interacting with internal and external individuals.
  • Compare labor and equipment production and efficiency to the job estimate, and inform the Trade Superintendent of cost over-runs.
  • Verify that project construction activities and project engineering are in conformance with the project Quality Plan and Work Methods.
  • Mentor other professional positions on work discipline, production costs, scope of work, quality, and safety.
  • Understand the scope of work per the contract.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.
  • Maintain crew and equipment matrices, comparing information back to established Work Plans and updating Operations Analysis as needed.
  • Complete all necessary reports in a timely and legible manner.
  • Perform 10% quality audits of installed work, as detailed in the Project Quality Plan.
  • Familiarize themselves with site conditions.
  • Lead discipline work activities in the absence of the Trade Superintendent.

Qualification Standards:

  • Education shall include high school, post-secondary college, or technical college education level.
  • At least five years of related construction experience demonstrating management and leadership capabilities.
  • Must demonstrate good communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
  • Ability to manage and supervise multiple employees.
  • Thorough knowledge of tools and equipment uses and limitations.
  • Good communication skills to deal with owners and employees.
  • Relocation to the community of the project site is required.
  • May be required to become a qualified individual in pursuit of a company contract licensing, or journeyman or master electrician license.
