Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Charge Nurse to lead our nursing team at AHC Mt. Juliet LLC. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing personalized healthcare to our residents and supervising other caregivers to ensure their comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing aides and support staff
  • Provide or monitor direct, prescribed nursing care to residents, including changing dressings, drawing blood, and performing other medical procedures
  • Update care plans as needed and notify physicians or advanced practitioners about changes in a resident's condition
  • Perform administrative duties, such as documenting assessments and ordering supplies
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents
  • Perform emergency procedures, such as CPR, and notify family and appropriate parties in the event of a resident's death
Requirements
  • Minimum of six months experience working in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other healthcare institution
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN) license
  • Currently licensed in the state of Tennessee as a registered nurse (RN) or a licensed practical nurse (LPN)
  • Current CPR Certification
Working Conditions

This position requires frequent lifting of objects up to 50 pounds and may involve working flexible hours, including possible overtime, shift changes, and weekends.

Supervisory Responsibilities

As a Charge Nurse, you will supervise support staff, including training, scheduling, and assigning work, as well as reviewing performance and recommending salary increases, promotions, or discharges.
