About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Atlassian Services Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Apple. As a key member of our Software Delivery organization, you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability and performance of our Atlassian services.

Responsibilities
  • Configure and monitor on-prem and cloud-based dependencies to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Automate continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines to streamline our software development process.
  • Maintain staging and production environments to maximize uptime and minimize downtime.
  • Implement observability of systems for monitoring, alerting, and metrics reporting to ensure proactive issue resolution.
  • Generate reports on service metrics to inform business decisions and drive improvement.
  • Champion best practices for change control management and incident response to ensure business continuity.
Requirements
  • Passion for building reliable, scalable, and performant distributed systems.
  • Understanding of distributed systems, including application, networking, and security.
  • SRE or Dev/Ops experience in managing customer-facing systems in a 24/7 environment.
  • Experience in managing and monitoring fleets of *nix systems or container platforms.
  • Excellent judgment and integrity with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of others and adapt to changing conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • B.S. in Computer Science or related work experience.
  • Experience as SCM administrator (e.g. Github, or similar).
  • Experience with container platforms (e.g. Docker, or similar).
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, or similar).
  • Experience with data analysis (e.g. Splunk, or similar).
