Quality Assurance Specialist

This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the products manufactured, packaged, and shipped to our customers meet all established Quality Assurance and Quality Control Requirements.
The primary responsibility is for in-process mechanical inspections and receiving inspections of delivered hardware needed for inclusion into contract/project assembly and final product delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly responsible for ensuring product quality meets established standards.
- Analyze and interpret drawings, sample data, and other materials to determine specifications or inspection procedures.
- Perform receiving inspections, in-process, and final inspections using appropriate tools/devices.
- Collect samples for testing, compute findings, and record results.
- Inspect materials, products, and work in progress for conformance to specifications, adjusting processes as necessary.
- Reject products not meeting specifications, marking items for acceptance or rejection.
- Generate non-conformity reports for further disposition and compliance verification.
- Test finished products, components, or assemblies for functioning, operation, accuracy, or assembly to verify adherence to functional specifications.
- Maintain measurement and test equipment calibration records.
- Utilize inspection reports during inspections.
- Maintain accurate documentation and scan it into designated file locations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements and Qualifications:

Experience and Skills:
- IPC-610 experience or certification is required.
- Knowledge with ISO-9001:2015 and/or AS9100.
- Experience with blueprint interpretation, schematics, BOM, assembly drawings.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, Costpoint, Gage Trak, and TIPQA.
- CMM Operation and programming PCDMIS experience or similar.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Products and Outlook.
- Knowledge with GD&T principles and concepts.
- Working in manufacturing environment.
- Machine Shop experience is a plus.
Education:
- Must have a High School or trade school graduate, and 3-5 years of relevant industry inspection experience.
- AA degree in a technical field such as Drafting, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality desired, with 1-2 years of relevant industry inspection experience.
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year. This salary range reflects the requirements of the position, including skills, qualifications, and industry standards.
