About the Role

We seek a highly skilled Senior Principal Scientist, Process Chemistry to join our Advanced Manufacturing R&D lab. As a key member of our team, you will leverage your expertise in process chemistry to develop innovative synthetic routes for drug substances.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in modern synthetic organic chemistry, compound purification, and spectral analysis/interpretation. With a minimum of 5 years of experience in related roles within the pharmaceutical industry, you will be responsible for designing, synthesizing, purifying, and analyzing chemical intermediates, target compounds, and impurities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Analytical Chemistry, EH&S, Engineering, Project Management, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure strong working relationships with all partners and Phlow employees.
  • Participate in the ongoing continuous improvements in manufacturing processes.
Requirements
  • A Ph.D. with a minimum 5 years of experience, M.S with a minimum 10 years of experience, or B.S. degree with a minimum 15 years of experience in Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific field.
  • Experience with common analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, NMR, UV, LC-MS.

We offer a competitive salary of $145,000 - $175,000 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package.
