Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily functions of the credit union, implementing effective office protocols to ensure staff efficiency and exceptional member service while meeting organizational objectives.
Respond to member inquiries via phone and facilitate requested transactions.
Review and analyze the Corporate transaction history for both current and prior days.
Record entries from the Corporate transaction history into the relevant general ledger accounts.
Ensure accurate ACH processing and timely posting of all transactions to the designated accounts.
Monitor the functionality of Home Banking services and address member inquiries effectively.
Process credit union payments and accurately record entries in the appropriate general ledger accounts.
Manage the enrollment of members in Home Banking applications and e-statement services.
Oversee share draft processing to ensure smooth operations.
Evaluate and approve or deny new share draft/checking account applications.
Supervise debit card processing and ensure member balances are updated in accordance with credit union protocols.
Review and approve debit card applications, ensuring prompt ordering of cards for approved requests.
Monitor debit card transactions and take necessary actions to mitigate fraud risks.
Ensure proper processing of overdrafts and accurate posting of NSFs.
Review and close share draft accounts that do not return to a positive balance per credit union policy.
Stay informed about new account opening requirements and facilitate account openings as needed.
Ensure timely scanning and processing of check deposits.
Execute wire transfers for members and the credit union as required.
Serve as a teller when necessary due to staff availability.
Monthly Responsibilities
Reconcile the Corporate statement, identifying any outstanding items.
Balance the Bank statement and address any discrepancies.
Ensure accurate posting of monthly payrolls from sponsor groups.
Make month-end General Ledger accounting entries.
Assist the CEO in updating Board Members on credit union activities.
Conduct month-end and quarter-end backups as assigned.
Additional Duties
Adhere to all credit union personnel policies and dress code regulations.
Be prepared for work by 8:30 a.m. each day.
Limit personal phone calls and visits during work hours.
Participate in training relevant to your position as necessary.
Report any issues with the Cusa system to the appropriate personnel and assist in resolving them.
Perform daily backups and end-of-day processes as assigned.
Review the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Call Report quarterly.
Support the CEO in making investment decisions for the credit union.
Promote the credit union to members and potential members, representing the organization at various events.
Assist in providing documentation and information to auditors and examiners as requested.
Support the CEO with the implementation of new programs within the credit union.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Management Responsibilities
Supervise staff in Member Service, Teller, and Back Office Processing departments.
Assess employee performance to ensure high-quality service to members.
Conduct annual evaluations of staff performance and recommend improvements as necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 per year
