Job Title: Thruway Sporting Goods Manager- Floor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Manager to join our team at Thruway Sporting Goods. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our retail floor team to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Ensure that all customers receive a positive and personalized shopping experience, addressing their needs and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of retail floor staff, providing coaching and feedback to ensure they meet their goals and objectives.
  • Store Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the store, including merchandising, visual displays, and inventory management, to ensure a seamless and engaging shopping experience for customers.
  • Performance Management: Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members, identifying areas for improvement and developing action plans to address any issues.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with all stakeholders, including customers, team members, and management, to ensure that everyone is informed and aligned with store goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum 5 years of retail management experience, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving sales growth.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of and passion for fishing and other outdoor activities, with the ability to communicate this enthusiasm to customers and team members.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, team members, and management.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
