Job Summary

Ladgov Corporation is seeking a skilled Musician to join our team. As a Musician, you will be responsible for conducting rehearsals, performing with the worship team, and training other musicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct rehearsals prior to services or performances.
  • Perform as part of a worship team, leading congregational singing, playing an instrument, or providing vocals.
  • Train and supervise other musicians in the church.
  • Organize and maintain music libraries containing scores, recordings, and other materials used in church services.
  • Lease and maintain equipment such as pianos and organs.
  • Practice with choir prior to services, and provide rehearsals for musicians/choir.

Requirements

  • Shall have a minimum of 1 year experience as a volunteer or paid position in a church setting working directly with church musicians, directors, and choirs.
  • Shall have a bachelor's in Music or a combination of education (music education, performance, or theory) and experience in a professional setting equaling no less than three (3) years.
  • Must be able to play the following instruments: organ and piano.
  • Must be able to sight-read music and play a variety of music to include but not limited to traditional (preludes, meditative instrumentals, postludes, praise choruses, congregational hymns, and classical music selections).
