About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Comcast. As a key member of our agile product and development team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and shipping rich front-end applications using Golang and other technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement new software and web applications, including contributing to the product roadmap and defining technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements, and conduct analysis to determine integration needs.
  • Develop software update process for existing applications, and assist in the roll-out of software releases.
  • Train junior Software Development Engineers on internally developed software applications.
  • Oversee the researching, writing, and editing of documentation and technical requirements, including evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the design process and guidance with regards to practices, procedures, and techniques.
  • Assist in tracking and evaluating performance metrics, and ensure team delivers software on time, to specification, and within budget.
Requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of Golang and MySQL.
  • Excellent knowledge of Object-Oriented (OO) and SOLID concepts.
  • Experience with designing, implementing, and shipping rich front-end applications.
  • Hands-on experience with related ecosystem: AWS, Kubernetes, Tilt, Docker, Cypress, GitHub, and others.
  • Committed to high-quality and easy-to-maintain code, with experience in unit testing/TDD practices.
  • Experience with designing, implementing, and shipping Go applications.
  • Passionate about delivering elegant technical solutions that meet client and product expectations, and are underpinned by clear, concise, maintainable, and testable code.
