Job Summary

The Culinary Specialist is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to residents of Phoenix Senior Living facilities. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent culinary skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including full-line menu items and therapeutic diets
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to meet quality, quantity, and service schedule requirements
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to all federal, state, and local regulatory procedures
  • Manage food production in the absence of the Lead Cook or Food and Beverage Director
  • Rotate menus and production sheets to ensure variety and compliance with dietary needs
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred
  • One year of job-related experience in food preparation, including full-line menu items and therapeutic diets
  • Maintains a current SERV Safe certificate or able to participate in the food services sanitation training to become SERV Safe Certified
