Position Overview
The Assisted Stretch and Recovery Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing the well-being of all members by fostering meaningful connections and promoting healthier lifestyles.
Key Responsibilities
- Designs safe, professional, and comprehensive programs tailored to client goals, ensuring retention and satisfaction.
- Guides clients through assisted stretching sessions utilizing techniques such as PNF and contract-relax stretching.
- Facilitates recovery sessions incorporating methods like assisted stretching, hypervolt percussion, and breathing exercises.
- Engages in all mandatory training associated with the role to maintain expertise.
- Conducts introductory stretch and recovery demonstrations for new clients, including pre-participation assessments, medical history reviews, lifestyle questionnaires, and goal-setting discussions to recommend appropriate stretching programs.
- Provides fitness floor support to all members, ensuring safety, delivering education, and motivating individuals.
- Promotes and sells stretch session programs alongside other personal training services.
- Completes all necessary administrative tasks related to each client's fitness plan.
- Stays updated on certifications, industry trends, credentials, and continuing education to progress within the levels program.
- Ensures all members feel capable, confident, and connected by delivering exceptional customer service through complimentary and based services/programming.
- Records all aspects of client programming for ongoing assessment and improvement.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certified Personal Trainer.
- CPR and AED Certification.
- Knowledge of assisted stretching and various recovery techniques.
- Ability to engage in aerobic activities for the duration of a class and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, reaching, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal training.
- Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, or a related field.
- Certification in Assisted Stretching (AIS, FST, or similar).
