We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at Shenandoah Nursing and Rehab (Autumn).

As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by assisting in food preparation and service, maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas, and adhering to health, sanitary, and infection control policies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in food preparation and service
  • Maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas
  • Following health, sanitary, and infection control policies
  • Communicating effectively with residents, staff, and supervisors
  • Performing other duties as directed by representatives of the community
  • Observing proper safety and sanitary techniques
  • Working hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position/assignment
  • Not posing a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace

Requirements include:

  • Currently enrolled in a high school program or have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of the fundamentals of food safety and sanitation is preferred
  • Ability to communicate in English and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to work with supervisors, co-workers, and community staff
  • Ability to observe proper safety and sanitary techniques
  • Ability to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position/assignment
  • Not posing a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace
