About the Role:

As a High Availability Storage Specialist at NetVision Resources, Inc., you will be responsible for designing and implementing high availability storage solutions for our mainframe systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high availability storage solutions
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure storage infrastructure meets high standards
  • Assist in implementing systems and software updates
  • Document processes, procedures, and configurations
  • Provide system administration support and troubleshoot platform and application issues

Requirements:

  • 7 years of experience or more as a Mainframe Storage Engineer
  • Experience with problem monitoring and engineering problem resolutions on virtual tape architectures
  • Experience with Dell/EMC, VSM, VLE, and ZFS Virtual tape Libraries
  • Experience with IBM Job Control Language (JCL)
  • 4 years of experience with CA-1 Tape Management System (TMS) and CA Vantage
  • 4 years of experience supporting Disaster Recovery planning, testing, monitoring, and restoration for virtual tape storage systems
  • 3 years of experience designing and building Storage Management System (SMS)
  • 2 years of experience using Data Domain Management Center (DDMC)
  • 2 years of experience using Time Sharing Option (TSO) on mainframe systems
  • Expertise in the Linux command-line environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience growing, maintaining, problem monitoring, and engineer problem resolutions on virtual tape architectures
  • Experience with Cyber Recovery on virtual tape systems
  • Demonstrated experience designing, installing, configuring, provisioning, and deploying storage hardware used in a multi-node storage architecture
  • Experience developing best practice project plans, engineering scripts, and documentation needed to migrate workloads to virtual tape
  • Prior Federal government experience
