Job Summary

The West Bonner County School District is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing identification, intervention, and special services to students with language, speech, and hearing disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct services to students, including assessment, treatment, and prevention of speech, language, and hearing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized educational programs (IEPs) in conjunction with parents and teachers.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluation of all children in the program to determine appropriateness of their program.
  • Assist in the referral of individuals to agencies and specialists in the community.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of opportunities for students with disabilities by providing individual or group in-service experiences for staff and parents.
Requirements
  • Pupil Personnel Services Certificate with appropriate endorsements, such as Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Ability to effectively apply the principles of assessment, treatment, and prevention of speech, language, and hearing disorders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the field of speech-language pathology.
  • Works well with students, staff, and the public.
  • Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Working Conditions

This position will be evaluated annually by the secondary counselor/district test coordinator and/or the director of special education in conformance with district policy and IDAPA.

Terms of Employment

By contract as determined by the Board of Trustees in accordance with federal and state law, administrative rules, and Board policy.
