Fabrication Coordinator

As a Fabrication Coordinator at DXP Enterprises, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fabrication shop. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate the fabrication process, from receiving customer orders to delivering finished products. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers and sales personnel to determine customer requirements and schedule fabrication jobs.
- Communicate job status to project managers, schedulers, and sales personnel.
- Order shop materials and notify shipping and receiving to move staged jobs to the production floor.
- Provide shop personnel with drawings, fabrication checklists, and order assembly instructions.
- Enter time for fabrication personnel and coordinate shipment of finished jobs with shipping and receiving.
- Check finished jobs before shipment, including fabrication checklists and digital pictures.
- Coordinate return of leftover materials from jobs and invoice jobs, including invoicing checklists.
- Maintain shop files.
Requirements:
- Customer-service oriented with experience in pump unit fabrication.
- Computer literate with strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- Ability to function and contribute to a team environment.
