Job Summary

O'Rielly Chevrolet has an immediate opening for an Automatic Transmission Technician. We prefer candidates with experience, especially with GM products, although we are willing to cross-train. This is an excellent opportunity with great pay, a working environment, and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose the cause of malfunction and perform transmission repair as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory time allowances and standards.
  • Remove and disassemble the transmission unit and perform repair.
  • Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
  • Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Install the repaired transmission, replace fluids, and make appropriate adjustments.
  • Road test the vehicle when required or refer to the test technician.
  • Document work performed and recommended.
