Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Nexus Health Systems. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our rehabilitation team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Treat patients according to treatment plans established by occupational therapists and approved by physicians. Record daily treatments and charges in accordance with department policy.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with occupational therapists, directors of clinical services, physicians, and other healthcare team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
  • Equipment Management: Utilize resources appropriately and maintain equipment to prolong its working life.
  • Documentation: Complete all required documentation of patient care according to accepted regulatory, corporate, and professional guidelines.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in patient care conferences, in-service training programs, and discharge planning.
  • Education and Experience: Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association accredited school of COTA. Preferred six months of experience working in a hospital or rehabilitation setting.
  • Licensure and Certification: Current licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant in the State of Practice. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).

  • Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association accredited school of COTA.
  • Preferred six months of experience working in a hospital or rehabilitation setting.
