Key Responsibilities
  • Perform conceptual studies, program requirements, design analyses, calculations, systems selection and layout for building design
  • Prepare building design documents and marketing materials
  • Research emerging technologies and design trends related to building mechanical engineering
  • Participate in team meetings and coordinate efforts with other team members
  • Work with Project Managers, Design Managers, Senior Architects, Senior Engineers, Architects or Engineers
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student in an ABET accredited program and have completed at least the second year of study in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Architectural Engineering (mechanical engineering focus), or Energy Engineering
  • Ability to effectively utilize basic Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD MEP, Autodesk Revit, and building energy modeling software such as Trane Trace, IES-VE, eQuest, and Energy Plus
  • Previous architectural or engineering internship or similar relevant work experience is preferred
Additional Information

Work is sedentary and often performed in an office setting. The work area is lighted, heated, and ventilated. This position may require extended periods of standing, sitting, as well as some repetitive movements, bending and lifting of minimal weight.
