Nurse Resident Position

Confluence Health is seeking a Nurse Resident to join our team in a challenging and rewarding role. As a Nurse Resident, you will work with a preceptor to deliver high-quality patient care on multiple units, assuming increasing responsibility.
The Residency Program is designed to transition new graduates or experienced nurses into acute inpatient care, emphasizing evidence-based patient care. You will utilize the nursing process to achieve patient goals and optimize outcomes, while effectively interacting with patients, significant others, and other health team members.
The program includes online and classroom-based learning, clinical simulation, skills development, direct clinical experiences, and mentorship. You will be required to maintain active Basic Life Support (CBL) certification and adhere to the Code of Conduct in all aspects of job performance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in a caring and compassionate manner, utilizing the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice.
- Develop, implement, and continually reassess patient individualized plans of care.
- Teach patient/family and/or caregiver appropriate health information.
- Document care provided, assessments, plan of care, interventions, and responses accurately in the patient's medical record.
- Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to facilitate effective patient care and treatment.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, or due to graduate within 30 days with proof supplied upon graduation.
- Licensure: Current LPN, or RN licensure in the state of Washington (RCW or licensure through Multistate Nurse Licensure Compact (SSB If LPN licensure, eligible to sit for NCLEX exam. Clinical experiences with a preceptor will be tailored to their level of licensure.
- Certified in BLS and recertified annually.
- Must possess basic computer skills related to Windows navigation, mouse usage, keyboarding, email communication, and password management.
