We are seeking a Charge Nurse (RN) to become an integral part of our Emergency Department (ED) team. In this role, you will oversee patient flow within the care area, manage admissions, discharges, and transfers to optimize capacity, and serve as the primary liaison to the Clinical Supervisor. You will be part of a team of over 200 professionals in our newly expanded and redesigned ED, which features 12 new beds, a rapid assessment and special care unit, a red zone, and an enhanced imaging department adjacent to the ED. This 78+ bed department typically cares for approximately 230 patients daily, with a range of acuity levels.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a staff RN in the relevant area or demonstrated competency through a minimum score of 35 points on the RN Competency Model Evaluation form
  • At least 6 months of experience as a Relief Charge RN or in a leadership role is required
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse license to practice in California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required
