Job Summary:

The Manager - Adaptive Skills will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Adaptive Skills division, including training and supporting supervisors, managing caseloads, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting to funding sources. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Train and mentor new and existing supervisors in service delivery, compliance, and team management.
  • Review and approve reports prior to submission to regional centers or other funding sources.
  • Assist with and monitor the completion of all required paperwork, including but not limited to tri-annual Profiles, annual Individual Support Plans, Special Incident Reports, etc.
  • Oversee payroll and approve mileage submissions for staff.
  • Manage caseloads when supervisors are on vacation or out of the office, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Assign referrals, ensure follow-up communication, and manage intake processes.
  • Attend and actively participate in manager meetings and team meetings.
  • Meet one-on-one with supervisors and administrative staff at least once a month to discuss progress, challenges, and team goals.
  • Coordinate community events engaging stakeholders and the general community ensuring successful execution.
  • Engage with the neurodiverse community, funding agencies, and the general community to foster relationships and support service development.
  • Explore and propose new service lines and division opportunities in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor and follow up on billing and authorizations to ensure timely payments and compliance.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing programs within the human services field, preferably working with the neurodiverse population. Experience with regional center funding and adaptive skills programs is highly preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience in payroll, billing, budget management, and event coordination.
  • Community Engagement: Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including funders, community organizations, and individuals in the neurodiverse community.
  • Other: Knowledge of regional center services and applicable laws and regulations related to service delivery for neurodiverse populations. Must be detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
