We are seeking a dedicated Travel Nurse RN for an exciting opportunity in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This role involves working within a large healthcare system, providing exceptional care to a diverse range of patients.
Certification Requirements- Mandatory Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
This position offers a 13-week assignment with a commitment of 36 hours per week. The ICU setting presents a variety of patient acuity levels, including those requiring advanced monitoring and support.
Patient Care Focus- Common Diagnoses: Patients with various ICU needs, including ventilated patients and those requiring specialized scoring and monitoring.
- Drip Management: RNs will be responsible for titrating medications, including vasopressors, sedatives, and insulin.
- Shift Details: 7 AM to 7 PM shifts, with a six-week scheduling cycle managed by a dedicated scheduler.
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend.
- Holiday Rotation: Participation in holiday coverage as per the established rotation.
- Floating Policy: Potential to float to PCU or MedSurg units as needed.
- Department: Intensive Care Unit.
- Patient Ratios: Typically 1:2, with occasional 1:3 ratios.
- Charge Nurse: A charge nurse will be present on each shift.
- Support Staff: No nurse aids or patient care technicians are assigned to this unit.
- In-House Support: eICU support available in 14 rooms, ensuring continuous patient monitoring.
- Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs are required.
- Orientation: Comprehensive orientation includes classroom training followed by two 12-hour shifts on the unit.
We are looking for positive and collaborative nurses who are eager to work as part of a team to address challenges in patient care. Please note that candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from any facility associated with CommonSpirit.
Request Time Off: Initial requests for time off should be submitted upfront (7 days or less per 13-week contract). Additional requests will not be accommodated after submission.
