We are seeking a highly skilled Device Registered Nurse to join our team at St. Luke's Health System. As a Device Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing expert care and management of cardiac devices, including pacemakers, implantable loop recorders, and implantable cardiac defibrillators.
Key Responsibilities- Perform thorough interrogations and reprogramming of cardiac devices
- Enroll patients in device management systems and conduct device interrogations in outpatient settings and remotely
- Triage patients for remote alert notifications and perform telephone triage for cardiac patients and device question phone calls
- Assist cardiologists in managing device recalls and alerts, and liaison with cardiac device company representatives
- Accurately identify malfunctions, alerts, and sub-optimal device operations and follow appropriate protocols
- Collaborate with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, advanced practitioners, and other members of the patient care team to achieve optimal clinical outcomes
- Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
- 1 year of experience in telemetry, general cardiology, or critical care
- ECG, arrhythmia/dysrhythmia knowledge, and effective communication and critical thinking skills
