Job Summary
The Accounting Assistant will provide general support in data entry, record filing, and office management. This position will focus on financial transactions, customer service, and agency operations.
Responsibilities:
- Process and enter invoices into QuickBooks.
- Scan and file accounting documents.
- Produce transaction reports as needed.
- Prepare mailings and courier deliveries.
- Organize corporate credit card receipts.
- Assist with travel bookings.
- Review and correct data and information entered into ledgers.
- Support Accounting team members as needed.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated basic understanding of data entry.
- Proven ability to work sensitively and effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to provide high-level customer service and manage confidential information.
- High level of organization and ability to complete complex tasks with minimal supervision.
- Patience and a sense of humor.
- Translatable military experience and skills may be alternatively substituted.
- Strong computer skills related to financial transactions.
- Experience with Excel and internet required; QuickBooks or other business/accounting software a plus.
