Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse RN Labor and Delivery PRN to join our team at Methodist Children's Hospital. As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our patients and their families during this critical time.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including assessing patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, fetal heart rates, and other critical indicators, and take prompt action to address any concerns or complications that arise.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and document all patient interactions and care provided in the medical record.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and address any concerns or questions that arise.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends in labor and delivery nursing.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • 1+ year of experience in labor and delivery nursing
