About the Role

Sellersburg Healthcare Center is seeking a skilled Dietary Aide to support our culinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve food from the tray line or steam table according to resident preferences and dietary needs.
  • Set up trays or plates for food service and ensure menu accuracy for each resident's meal.
  • Transport carts to nursing stations in a timely manner and collect and return dishes when meals are completed.
  • Monitor for resident personal affects and return them to the supervisor.
  • Ensure sanitization of plateware, silverware, glassware, and cooking utensils according to procedure.
  • Complete assigned cleaning tasks, including cleaning pots, pans, and utensils, removing trash, sweeping, and mopping floors.
  • Assist in salad, dessert, snack, and nourishment preparation and delivery.
  • Clean resident dining areas and deliver late meals or resident menu alterations to nursing stations.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Prior work/life experience, preferably in a healthcare or service environment.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare environment is desirable.
  • Compassionate and enthusiastic personality.
