We are in search of Transportation Quality Control Inspectors to support our initiatives in the field of major infrastructure projects. The successful candidates will implement standard quality control inspection protocols to ongoing activities during and after construction, ensuring structural integrity, overall safety, and adherence to established plans, specifications, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • This role involves Quality Control Inspection on a significant, multi-year, intricate highway construction project that encompasses various structures, roadway restoration, and traffic enhancements. Responsibilities include verifying and documenting compliance with contractual obligations and construction standards.
  • Analyze and interpret blueprints, site layouts, specifications, and construction methodologies to ensure alignment with contractual obligations.
  • Conduct assessments to verify compliance with standards for testing materials such as concrete and soils.
  • Demonstrate the ability to measure dimensions and confirm the level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades, and/or pavement to ensure conformity with plans and regulations.
  • Document field observations, maintain accurate records, and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Collect, review, and manage project documentation using relevant systems.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.


Required Skills

  • Proficiency in computer applications, effective communication, and documentation capabilities.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.


Required Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in Construction Inspection, preferably in the Transportation sector.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Certifications as requested by clients, including:
  • NICET Level 2 or higher in Transportation/Highway Construction.
  • NECEPT-Bituminous Field Technician.
  • PennDOT Concrete Field Technician (with ACI Concrete Field Technician as a prerequisite).
  • Familiarity with CDS NeXtGen and/or ECMS Wave 5.

Working Conditions

Fieldwork is required, necessitating the ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Work may occur in various environmental conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, and dryness.
