Nurse Educator Opportunity at Kaiser Permanente

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Educator to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Nurse Educator, you will play a critical role in developing and delivering clinical educational programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement clinical educational programs for nursing staff, including specialty training, new graduate training, and continuing education.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of nursing staff proficiencies and provide feedback and formal action plans to management.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify and prioritize educational and professional development needs of the clinical service line or medical center.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, culturally diverse instructional materials in all types of media and formats.
  • Adjust content and teaching strategies to meet learner needs and respond to changes in nursing practice and theory.
Requirements:
  • Minimum three years of nursing experience.
  • Minimum one year of experience coordinating or managing education programs/curriculum design, development, and evaluation/assessment.
  • Minimum one year in staff professional development and/or clinical training/teaching.
  • Masters degree in nursing or related field required.
  • Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act, federal, state, and local requirements.
