Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CDL A Driver to join our team at Dairy Farmers of America. As a CDL A Driver, you will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer and delivering products or assets to customers, warehouses, and distributors in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Deliver products or assets according to route schedule and customer delivery expectations.
  • Follow designated routes and schedules unless otherwise directed by supervisory personnel.
  • Report delivery delays to management due to road conditions, accidents, or breakdowns.
  • Load and unload product as required at designated stops.
  • Communicate effectively and maintain good relations with customers and report any problems to the driver supervisor or manager.
  • Ensure and/or perform proper maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment used.
  • Complete all daily paperwork fully and correctly each day.
  • Perform load inventory and document condition of freight before departure.
  • Attend all driver workshops and training sessions.
  • Use company-supported applications or systems properly.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 or more years of experience driving a tractor trailer, straight truck, or doubles trailer, within the last 5 years preferred.
  • Must meet minimum age requirements.
  • Must meet DFA requirements for Motor Vehicle Records.
  • Must meet all DOT requirements.
  • Certification and/or License – valid Class A CDL; some drivers may be required to have a doubles endorsement.
Working Conditions

This position requires frequent travel and may involve working in various weather conditions. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
