The American Academy of Ophthalmology is currently seeking a distinguished Glaucoma Ophthalmologist for a faculty position at various levels, including Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or full Professor. This role encompasses a vibrant medical and surgical practice at our primary facilities and affiliated teaching hospitals, along with the responsibility of educating and mentoring residents and fellows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Candidates must possess an MD degree and hold board certification or be board eligible in ophthalmology, with specialized training in glaucoma, and must qualify for medical licensure in the relevant state.
- The ideal candidate will have a primary focus on glaucoma, with or without additional interests in comprehensive ophthalmology or other subspecialties, and a commitment to engaging in glaucoma-related research.
- This position is designed to deliver exceptional clinical training for fellows, residents, and medical students through comprehensive didactic sessions.
