Position Objective
The primary aim is to offer guidance, mentorship, and strategic direction to the assigned area, focusing on personnel development and enhanced restaurant operations to optimize the long-term revenue and profitability of each establishment.
Consistently embodies McDonald's core values and leadership principles to foster positive business relationships with key stakeholders, including the Operations Manager, Restaurant Leadership Team, Crew, and Customers.
Key Responsibilities
In addition to adhering to McDonald's policies and procedures, key responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:
People Management
Advocates for the McDonald's People Promise by personally exemplifying, reinforcing, and following up on the key drivers to secure commitment from management and crew:
- Respect and Recognition (e.g., reward and recognition initiatives)
- Resources for Success (e.g., crew and manager scheduling, uniforms, crew room, necessary equipment)
- Values and Leadership Practices (e.g., compliance with policies, effective communication, addressing crew and manager concerns, promoting a Speak Up Culture, driving employee engagement surveys and action plans)
- Competitive Compensation and Benefits (e.g., communicating and executing wage and review programs for crew and managers)
- Learning, Development, and Personal Growth (e.g., crew orientation, training programs, and management development initiatives)
Ensures that all restaurants within the area are sufficiently staffed through effective hiring and retention strategies to maximize sales potential by utilizing available tools and resources.
Collaborates with the Operations Manager and General Managers to set individual performance targets that are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-bound, ensuring timely performance reviews and discussions.
Participates in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of all managers based on staffing needs and diversity objectives.
Educates restaurant management on relevant HR policies, applicable laws, and safety procedures, ensuring compliance at the restaurant level.
Partners with Training and HR teams to enhance capabilities in delivering on the People Promise to achieve desired business outcomes.
Quality, Service, and Sales Enhancement
Safeguards the McDonald's brand by ensuring that restaurants comply with QSC operational standards, food safety regulations, and relevant laws.
Exhibits Customer-First Service by consistently monitoring restaurant operations, addressing shift management issues, and recognizing achievements.
Proactively instructs and mentors restaurant managers and leadership teams in executing the 9 restaurant systems that ensure consistently high QSC levels.
Collaborates with PACE Subject Matter Experts to conduct assessments and develop action plans for system improvements.
Accountable for implementing action plans in each restaurant to achieve targeted results.
Ensures proper execution of Local Store Marketing initiatives, national promotions, and the introduction of new products and processes.
Business Performance
Works with the Operations Manager to formulate the annual business strategy for the Business Center.
Utilizes all available information resources to identify opportunities and challenges in optimizing restaurant performance and adjusts strategies accordingly.
Consults and is responsible for fostering a positive work environment while collaborating closely with restaurant managers and leadership teams to achieve business objectives, including increased customer traffic, sales, and profitability.
