Citigroup, a leading global bank, seeks a highly experienced engineer to fill the role of Distinguished Engineer. This position is responsible for delivering results through hands-on engineering activities, including designing and building shared platform services.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hands-on implementation, strong analytic and diagnostic skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely. They will be responsible for developing and implementing technical standards and guidelines, designing and building complex solutions, and mentoring and guiding multiple teams from various technology disciplines.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement technical standards and guidelines
  2. Design and build complex solutions
  3. Mentor and guide multiple teams from various technology disciplines
  4. Create an environment where Subject Matter Experts can thrive and deliver effectively
  5. Negotiate with senior leaders across functions and external parties as required

Key Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in an Engineering role with extensive hands-on implementation experience
  • Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
  • Demonstrated clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytic/diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
