Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Soil Nutrient Cycling

Auburn University is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team in the Department of Biosystems Engineering. The successful candidate will work on investigating soil nutrient cycling and greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design and execute greenhouse gas collection plans from laboratory and field conditions.
- Field measurement of GHG emissions from manure-impacted soils.
- Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as GC and ICP-OES.
- Produce reports and peer-reviewed articles based on research findings.
- Disseminate research findings through presentations at national and domestic conferences.
- Supervise graduate students and undergraduate student workers.
- Ph.D. in soil science, environmental science, agriculture, or related field.
- Experience in field research.
- Experience working in a wet chemistry or analytical laboratory.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated ability to collect, organize, and analyze data.
- Experience with field GHG measurement.
- Record of peer-reviewed publications in the area.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
