About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Nurse 2 to join our team in the Emergency Department at Penn Medicine. As a Clinical Nurse 2, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Patient-Centered Care: Deliver compassionate and individualized care to patients, families, and communities, taking into account their unique needs, preferences, and values.
  • Collaborate with the Healthcare Team: Work effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, share knowledge, and make informed decisions.
  • Practice Evidence-Based Care: Utilize current research, best practices, and evidence-based guidelines to inform clinical decisions and improve patient outcomes.
  • Develop and Implement Care Plans: Create and implement individualized care plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients.
  • Monitor and Evaluate Patient Progress: Continuously assess patient progress, identify areas for improvement, and make adjustments to care plans as needed.
  • Communicate Effectively: Clearly and effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Experience: More than 15 months of relevant professional nursing experience, with completion of the Nurse Residency Program if applicable.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as a healthcare provider, as per the American Heart Association, and Pennsylvania RN licensure.
