Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Alternate Solutions Health Network LLC.

Job Summary

This is a full-time position that requires a Speech Therapist with a current license in the state of employment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience as a ST in an acute care setting, with home care experience preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Plan of Care: Develop an individualized ST plan of care and make adjustments as needs change.
  • Patient Outcomes: Use activities and home exercise programs to improve swallowing, breathing, cognition, speech, and communication, and/or any other speech therapy related function.
  • Minimize Patient Risk: Help decrease re-hospitalizations by teaching the patient on preventative measures and making good decisions.
  • Family Educator/Advocate: Counsel patient and family on the disease/injury and how to manage in all phases of speech therapy.
  • Policies: Complete all clinical documentation following agency protocol and Medicare/Federal guidelines.
  • Rules and Regulations: Understand and follow agency policies, procedures, rules, and regulations and communicate changes in schedule/availability to schedulers or supervisors.
  • Operations: Attend in-service training and mandatory agency meetings.
Requirements
  • Speech Therapist: Current license in the state of employment.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of experience as a ST in an acute care setting, with home care experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License: Valid driver's license and auto insurance in your name as a driver.
  • Physical Demands: Capable of all physical demands.
