Emergency Medicine Physician Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, an affiliate of Mass General Brigham. Our 26-bed emergency department offers a supportive clinical and administrative infrastructure, allowing our providers to focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

Highlights of the Opportunity:

  • Flexible Scheduling: Full-time physicians work 1582 clinical hours/year, with the option to work fewer hours for a better work-life balance.
  • Rotating Schedules: Providers rotate through various shifts, including 7 am-3 pm, 12 pm – 10 pm, 3 pm – 12 am, or 10 pm to 7 am.
  • Specialized Care: Our emergency department has a dedicated area for psychiatric emergencies, which accounts for approximately 10% of our daily patients.
  • Stroke Program: We are licensed as a Primary Stroke Center by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and have received the American Heart Association's Get With The Guidelines – Stroke Gold Plus quality achievement award.
  • State-of-the-Art Facilities: Our emergency department features electronic monitoring, bedside registration, and state-of-the-art ultraviolet infection prevention, as well as electronic medical records to ensure safe and efficient care.
  • TeleHealth Program: Our physicians can consult with experts in real-time through our TeleHealth program for strokes and certain other neurological emergencies.
  • Collaborative Environment: We have strong working relationships with hospitalists and specialists who provide consultations to the ED.
