About the Role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Pediatric Orthopedics. As an RN, you will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the hospital. You will work closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care plan that meets each patient's needs.

  • You will instruct and educate patients and family members.
  • Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
  • You will monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
  • You will serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Licensed or license eligible, as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia through the Board of Health Professions.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
