Body Fit Plus Inc is seeking a highly skilled Psychologist Corrections Specialist to join our team at a correctional facility in Delano, California.
Job Summary:We are looking for a qualified Psychologist to provide psychological services to mentally ill inmates/wards. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Senior Psychologist, Supervisor, and/or the chief of Mental Health to provide initial mental health evaluations, conduct crisis intervention, and develop treatment plans.
Responsibilities:- Conduct initial mental health evaluations, including criminal, psychological, and substance abuse case history to assess inmate's current needs and make treatment recommendations.
- Meet with mentally ill inmates/wards for crisis intervention, group psychotherapy, face-to-face interviews, etc.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that reflect the standard of practice.
- Consult with supervisor, treatment team members, and institutional healthcare personnel on complex cases.
- Document all care provided to the inmate, including face-to-face contacts and Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IOTTs) meetings.
- Twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years rendering direct patient care in public or private institution.
- Clinical competencies must be current.
- Valid Photo ID, Driver's License or Passport (Required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association.
- Valid California Psychologist license Hard Copy (Required).
- Health Insurance.
- Quarterly Bonus.
- 40hrs paid sick time.
- Payroll - Weekly direct deposit.
