As a Registered Nurse at Merit Health Natchez, you will be essential in delivering exceptional care to our patients. Position Overview:

  • Full-Time Night Shifts
  • Evaluates patient requirements, devises a care strategy, and administers care based on recognized needs and physician directives in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • The RN formulates and executes patient education strategies. The RN engages in communication and collaboration with fellow team members to ensure effective care delivery.
  • Accountable for the patient receiving care, self, and colleagues as professional nurses, including the charge nurse, clinical supervisor, unit director, and CNO.
  • Fosters collaborative relationships with medical personnel and other healthcare team members, as well as administrative staff.
  • Maintains a cooperative working relationship with ancillary departments and the entire healthcare team.
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills, along with proficiency in utilizing the EMR.
  • Continuously provides guidance to the staff by assessing the quality and volume of care and evaluating and intervening in care management issues as necessary.
  • Oversees unit operations in the absence of the Director or CNO and collaborates with them as needed.
  • Utilizes experience and judgment to strategize and achieve objectives.
  • Three 12-hour shifts, with varying days.

Qualifications:

  • Current MS RN license
  • Associate degree in Nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • BLS certification
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply
