We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at NTI Connect. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our vehicles and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and Repair: Diagnose and repair faults and malfunctions of trucks and equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
- Preventive Maintenance: Complete DOT Annual Inspections and perform preventive maintenance on vehicles, trailers, and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of repairs and maintenance, including electronic documentation.
- Field Service: Perform repair work in the field, as well as in the shop, during all weather conditions.
- Inventory Management: Ensure that the service truck is well-stocked with necessary items to effectively repair trucks and equipment in the field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience as a Line Mechanic, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Certifications: Possession of ASE-CWI welding certification and requisite experience.
- Licenses: Valid State of Residence Driver's License (CDL-A) required within two weeks of employment.
- Education: High School diploma or GED.
- Specialized Knowledge: Skilled in the repair of light duty vehicles, heavy duty vehicles, heavy equipment, small engines, hydro excavators, and specialized construction equipment.
- Technical Skills: Ability to use computer-based vehicle and equipment electronic diagnosis software, and proficiency in creating, reading, and understanding repair order software.
