Job Title: Correctional Nurse

Job Summary:

CoreCivic is seeking a highly skilled Correctional Nurse to provide high-quality care to inmates in a correctional setting. As a Correctional Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing and treating inmates with illnesses or injuries, as well as providing guidance and supervision to nursing staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat inmates with illnesses or injuries
  • Provide guidance and supervision to nursing staff
  • Attend sick call with the physician to see inmates
  • Prepare a list of inmates to be examined
  • Examine and assess new inmates with illnesses or injuries
  • Refer inmates to the emergency room or other healthcare facilities as needed

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a degree in nursing
  • Current licensure in the state of employment
  • One year of professional nursing experience preferred
  • A valid driver's license is required
