Captain Job Opportunity

Curtin Maritime is seeking an experienced Captain to lead our towing vessel operations. As a Captain, you will be responsible for managing vessels, assigning tasks, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to mentor and train crew members. The salary for this position is estimated at $625-$870 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

The Captain will be responsible for:

• Managing vessels and assigning tasks to crew members.
• Ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.
• Leading by example and mentoring crew members.
• Providing critical feedback and coaching crew members for improved performance.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Mental aptitudes: attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, ability to handle stressful situations, strong sense of responsibility, and effective communication skills.
• Physical aptitudes: agility, physical dexterity, strength, and ability to swim.
• Licenses and requirements: minimum 200 GRT Master of Towing Vessels Near Coastal or 500 GRT Master Near Coastal with TOAR, passport, VSO, STCW Master 500 GT Near Coastal, and Oceans Endorsement.
