Plymouth Harborside Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing nutritional expertise and dietary oversight to our facility.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Develop and implement menu cycles that meet the nutritional needs of our residents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and serving of food, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
- Manage inventories of nutritional supplements and products, including tube feeding formulas and thickener packets.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to provide nutritional support for wound care and implement evidence-based interventions.
- Provide education and counseling to residents, family members, and staff on nutrition and wellness topics.
- Monitor the nutritional status of residents and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics, with completion of a required program and internship, and a passing score on the Registered Dietitian Examination.
- Current licensure as a Registered Dietitian in the State of Massachusetts.
- Experience in healthcare food service, preferably in a long-term care setting.
- ServSafe or other national food safety certification preferred.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
