Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Houseperson to join our team at Island Hospitality Management. As a Houseperson, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and general appearance of public areas and corridors of the hotel.

This role requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Upkeep the public areas, including lobbies, hallways, and restrooms
  • Assist with housekeeping duties as needed, including changing sheets, towels, and restocking supplies
  • Participate in preventative maintenance programs to ensure the hotel's facilities are well-maintained
  • Recognize and report potential safety hazards and notify supervisors of any damages, deficits, and disturbances
  • Maintain shelf organization in storerooms and replenish supplies as needed
  • Clean furniture, elevators, glass, planters, light fixtures, carpets, walls, and more in public areas
  • Deliver special request items to guest rooms
  • Upkeep of outside patio/pool area and bathrooms/sport court and exterior entrances/exits
  • Remove trash from outdoor trash receptacles and ashtrays
