Job Title: Surgical Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Surgical Assistant to join our team at Specialty1 Partners. As a Surgical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our surgeons and dental team.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the surgical area, instruments, and equipment for each procedure.
  • Assist the surgeon during procedures, anticipating their needs and providing support as required.
  • Maintain a clean and sterile environment, ensuring the highest standards of infection control.
  • Monitor and record patient vitals, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Prepare and provide post-operative instructions and materials to patients.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the surgeon or office manager.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience as a surgical assistant, with a preference for specialty experience.
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • A strong attention to detail.
  • Well-organized and reliable.
  • A high school diploma.
  • A certificate from an accredited surgical assistant program (if required by law).
  • An active state radiology license (if required by law).
