Responsibilities of the Surgical Technologist
The Surgical Technologist is accountable for the preparation and maintenance of the surgical environment, ensuring the sterile field is upheld throughout procedures. This role requires a thorough understanding of surgical protocols and the ability to adapt to evolving conditions during operations. The Surgical Technologist may also take on the role of a Preceptor, guiding new team members in their professional development.

Qualifications
- An Associate's Degree or equivalent is required.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program is essential.
- Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred, including clinical rotations.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
